Who are we?
Tuitunze Jamii is a community-based, non-profit, non-partisan and non-governmental organization (NGO) duly registered and active in Kenya, and committed to empowering and protecting communities especially the most vulnerable individuals and groups, protecting dignity, ending violence and fostering socio-economic independence through integrated interventions in gender-based violence (GBV) prevention, child protection, education, sports, and advocacy for human rights in order to create safer, more resilient and equitable communities for all.
The name "Tuitunze Jamii" is a Swahili catch phrase that translates to "Let's take care of communities". In view of this calling, our vision and mission are as follows:

To protect families and communities by preventing gender-based violence (GBV), promoting child protection, engaging men as allies, empowering individuals through sports, psychosocial support and financial independence, and strengthening GBV response systems to create a safer and more equitable society.
